In August of 2002 God spoke the words "Prince of Persia" to me. God has spoken this to me numerous times since, and I have asked for understanding, and what God wanted me to see.

Well, about 2 weeks ago, I received understanding, HALLELUJAH! And I have to tell you, this is most certainly FOR ME, but not for me alone, this is for the body of Christ as a whole. Many, many that I know personally are "waiting" for specific answers from God, and have been wondering what in the world is going on. Well, dear friends, I have GOOD NEWS, and when I share this with you, it's going to seem so simple and something we all know, but it's our course of action that is going to bring BREAKTHROUGH.

When God spoke Prince of Persia to me, I was immediately reminded of Daniel and the story we're all so familiar with. But how does this apply to me, us? I'm going to share this as I understand it.

First, in Daniel 10:
vs. 3 & 8 Daniel fasted and prayed for 21 days
vs. 9 Daniel "heard"
vs. 11 Daniel "understood"
vs. 12 the angel said, I have come FOR THY WORDS
vs. 13 Prince of the kingdom of Persia WITHSTOOD the angel 21 days
Michael came to his aide
vs. 14 understanding and revelation was granted to Daniel

From this we see that God heard Daniel the very first day, however, this SPIRIT "Prince of the kingdom of Persia" DELAYED, HELD UP, WITHSTOOD, the answer from being delivered, the revelation from being made known to Daniel. The angel warred with this spirit and Michael, the arch angel, came to his aide. This spirit is a spirit of delay. It entails much more, of course, and the angel needed assistance to fight him. If we will look in the natural sense, biblical Persia is now Iraq, and the characteristics of this spirit we will see evident and present in Iraq and its leadership. There is constant delay, deception, maneuvering to conceal, opposing truth. What we see in the natural is what is taking place in the spirit realm.

How do we BREAKTHROUGH? How do we CONQUER this spirit and receive BREAKTHROUGH?

We do as Daniel did. We fast and pray. It must go hand in hand and it must be TARGETED prayer.

I went through Isaiah 58 regarding fasting:

vs. 6
1) to loose the bands of wickedness
2) to undo heavy burdens
3) to let the oppressed go free
4) break every yoke

vs. 7
5) deal thy bread to the hungry
6) bring the poor to thy house
7) seest the naked, cloth them
8) hide not from thine own flesh

RESULT

vs. 8
1) THEN SHALL THY LIGHT BREAK FORTH
2) HEALTH SHALL SPRING FORTH
3) HERE I AM (God says)

Wherever God is, His presence is there, DIRECTION IS MADE KNOWN, PROVISION IS MADE AVAILABLE, REVELATION IS MADE KNOWN, UNDERSTANDING IS GRANTED, STRENGTH IS PROVIDED, and on and on

Matt 17:21 - Jesus said, this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting

Matt 6:17-18 - we are told some specifics about fasting by Jesus himself, and he said, GOD WILL REWARD YOU OPENLY

So, I am here to tell you, I know this is an answer from Heaven, straight from God. All of us are waiting and waiting on something, and God is not withholding anything, satan is, the Prince of Persia is, and we hold the keys, it's up to us to BREAKTHROUGH, with fasting and prayer, and as instructed in Isaiah 58, giving as well. Targeted prayer.

I have been fasting and praying and I do not say this for any pat on the back, I am in need and I know God is my source and I BELIEVE GOD. There are specifics we need to do to unlock some doors, and I know that fasting and prayer is what's going to bring BREAKTHROUGH to us.

If you care to join me, praise the Lord. We are on the threshold of something awesome and the enemy is ticked, but we are VICTORIOUS, our God is greater, and He's given us the keys, so let's BREAKTHROUGH.

I just wanted to add, The Lord gave me a similar word in August of 2002. He said the enemy had erected barriers to hold back God's answers to prayer, and cut me (us) off from His Provision. But it wasn't until Patricia released her word that I realized the scope of what God was saying. We all need to fast and pray to bring down the barriers that are holding back God's Blessings.
