You don't have to agree with everything another Christian believes to be in unity with them in Christ. Unity in Christ is just that - unity in Christ. Unity in Christ is not unity in dress code, or unity in expression of worship, or unity in denomination. God has lavished us with His abundant grace, and in turn we too should give grace to others.

Buford walked into a doctor's office and the receptionist asked him what he had. Buford said, "Shingles." She wrote down his name, address, and medical insurance number and told him to have a seat.

Fifteen minutes later a nurse's aid came out and asked Buford what he had. Buford said, "Shingles." She wrote down his height, weight, and complete medical history and told Buford to wait in the examining room.

A half hour later a nurse came in and asked Buford what he had. Buford said, Shingles. So she gave Buford a blood test, a blood pressure test, an electrocardiogram, told Buford to take off all his clothes and wait for the doctor.

An hour later the doctor came in and asked Buford what he had. Buford said, Shingles. The doctor asked, Where? Buford said, "Outside on the truck. Where do you want them?"

How do you get into Heaven? A Sunday school teacher inquires of her class...

"If I sold my house and my car, had a big garage sale, and gave all my money to the church, would I get into heaven?"

"NO!" all the children answered.

"If I cleaned the church every day, mowed the yard, and kept everything neat and tidy, would I get into heaven?"

Again the answer was, "NO!"

"Well then, how can I get to heaven?"

From the back of the class a five-year-old boy shouted, "You gotta be dead!"

We all need encouragement. So many things are coming at each of us to try and tear us down and steal our peace. It can be hard to stand alone. But that is what many people are doing at this very moment. Encouragers are few and far between. The Body of Christ is called to stand together. They will know us by our love for one-another. So, I want to encourage you. You are special to God, and He loves you. No matter what your circumstances, know that God loves for you. Anything else is a lie. It makes no difference who you are, God loves you because of who He is. And He does not hate you because of who you're not. That is His awesome and divine Character.
