STATEMENT OF FAITH
HeavensFire Ministries believes...
...The Bible (Sixty six Canonical Scriptures - Old and New Testaments) is the
inspired Word of God. (2
Timothy 3:16)
...There is only one God, the Creator (Genesis
1:1) whom is three parts (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) yet one. (Matthew
28:19, John
10:30)
...There is an eternal Heaven in the presence of God (Revelation
21:3-4) and an eternal Hell separated from God. (Matthew
13:49-50)
...Everyone has sinned against God, which is rooted in the fall of mankind (Genesis
3), and is in need of the Savior whom will allow him or her entry into Heaven.
(Romans
3:23-24)
...Jesus Christ is the only avenue of salvation for mankind. (John
14:6) He is the Son of God, born of a virgin (Matthew
1:23), whom by His sinless life, death and resurrection absolved everyone
who believes in Him of all sin (John
3:16, Luke
9:22, 1
Peter 1:3, Romans
10:9-10) allowing them entry into Heaven.
...Jesus Christ performed many miracles while on Earth. (Matthew
8:16, Matthew
14:13-21, Matthew
14:22-27) After His resurrection He ascended into Heaven (Acts
1:9-10) and will one day return. (Matthew
24:36-39) He will resurrect the dead (Revelation
20:5-6) and give to everyone who has ever lived his or her eternal reward
(Heaven or Hell). (Matthew
25:31-46)
...We have an enemy; an adversary (Genesis
3:14-15) whom seeks to steal, kill and destroy. (John
10:10, 1
Peter 5:8)
...God has sent the Holy Spirit to those who have believed and received Him
(John 16:7)
to teach them (John
14:26) and empower them (Acts
1:8) to live out the life of Christ. (Galatians
2:20)
...Receiving the Holy Spirit is a separate and distinct event apart from salvation.
One can be saved, but still not empowered by the Holy Spirit to live the life
of freedom God intended for us. (Acts
8:14-17)
...The amount of the Holy Spirit we are indwelt with varies. Not only from person
to person, but from day to day. It can be given (Luke
8:43-48) received (Acts
4:8, Acts
13:52) and we are encouraged to stay as full of the Spirit as we can. (Ephesians
5:18)
...All of the Gifts of the Spirit (1
Corinthians 12:1-11) are still given by God today, and should even be desired
for the building up and encouragement of the body. (1
Corinthians 12:27-31)
...There are also false gifts from Satan (2
Thessalonians 2:9-10) intended to deceive people, to break up the unity
between Christians, and to drive a wedge between them and God.
...There is a war going on in the spiritual realm unseen by our physical eyes.
(Ephesians
6:12) Jesus has already won this war for us, and Satan has been defeated.
(John 12:31)
...Jesus has taken back the authority that was lost at the fall (Matthew
28:18) and has given us authority over all demons. (Luke
10:19) Further, the body of Christ needs to exercise this authority. (Ephesians
6:12, Matthew
18:18-20, Matthew
12:29)
...There is a right way and a wrong way to interpret scripture (2
Timothy 2:15) and the only way we can ever understand God's Word is through
His revelation. (John
16:13) Each person in the body of Christ needs to develop a personal relationship
with God (Hebrews
4:14-16), learn to distinguish His Voice (John
10:27), and obtain understanding and guidance from God for his or her sake
and the sake of those around them. (1
Timothy 4:16) And, it is due to a lack of knowledge and God-given understanding
that people (including many Christians) are in bondage to Satan's lies. (Hosea
4:6)
...The five major leadership positions (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors
and Teachers) are still active and necessary for the equipping and preparation
of the body of Christ today. (Ephesians
4:11-13)
...God is Love, and He Loves us beyond our comprehension. The embodiment of
that Love can be seen through the life and actions of our Lord, Jesus Christ.
(Ephesians
2:4-5, John
3:16, Romans
5:8, Romans
8:39, Luke
23:32-34)
...There isn't a single sign, wonder or miracle in The Bible that God would
not perform today. He still saves, He still heals, He still delivers, and He
still forgives. He never changes. (Malachi
3:6)
